I've replaced my EGR valve, but I don't know how to fix the pintle position circuit. Do I need to replace the EGR again? I've cleared the computer since I replaced the EGR a couple of months ago, and this new code has come up within the last week... I've also cleared the passage into the intake the last time I went to the dealer (about a couple of months ago)

When you replaced the EGR, did you reset the computers codes? Or clear them from the computer? If not, then thats what you need to do first so the computer knows something was done.

The folks suggesting that the egr port is clogged are most likely correct. Carbon can also come loose and stick the pintle open on the valve. I had a friend that had a blazer that used to do this every couple of weeks until he cleared it all out. If the valve won't close all the way it sets a code on the computer like you have showing now. Cleaning the valve and port will usually correct this after resetting the computer. You might be running a tad rich to cause this, but as someone else already mentioned these Chevy engines are prone to this no matter what. I bet a LOT of those 300 dollar egr valves get changed for absolutely no reason other than a tiny bit of carbon on the seat.

It's my experience that aftermarket egr's are very finicky. If all else is fine I would suggest cramming that piece-of-crap egr you were sold down somebody's throat. Factory valves(GM) are built to tough standards that are your best bet. Keep in mind that these valves are designed to only last long enough to satisfy factory warranties. Aftermarket valves are designed to work once.

the egr port is stopped up which is in the intake. i use an old speedomeeter cable to run thru the pipe, you can take the throttle body and the egr off to get to it from both ends. it stops just behind the throttle body

hi Lioness, i attempted to locate "objectified" and "objectification" in the dictionary and no excitement. properly, i'm no longer precisely useful I understand your queston, yet think of i might have an concept. besides, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? it quite is a curve it relatively is formed like a bell and does a competent activity of representing statistics. As for attractiveness, at one end of the curve we've the least captivating and on the different end the main. the comparable could be real for earnings ... poorest on one edge and richest on the different. in the midst of the bell we've for all time-honored human beings. i think of what you're asserting is real, yet basically basically a fact of existence. we've the finished spectrum for the two genders. As for why adult males do no longer protest ... i assume they understand that it quite is basically the way issues are and protests are no longer vulnerable to alter something. wish this facilitates!

this is what will fix it, i am almost sure you will find the exhaust passage-way in the intake is stopped up or partially restricted .You will have to run a piece of wire through it to clean it out. This is common on 3.1 engines
