how do i map an incoming TCP port through a router?

That depends on which router you have. But you should be able to log into the admin screen of the router at something like http://192.168.0.1 unless you've changed it, and there should be an option in there somewhere.

Please state the brand and model number of the router you have. The instructions differ wildly based on the brand and model.
