...visited the school playground where you went as a kid? I did recently and realized...that everything seemed a lot bigger back then? : ) It was weird looking around too. I remembered the jungle gym was a spaceship, and the thing with all the slides on it was a pirate ship. The sand was an endless ocean. I even remember that section of wall where I was forced to sit out...for climbing up the slides. *bad, bad me* : ( Ah the memories. : )

I didn't do that--I did something "worse". I've been out of high school for 31 yrs. After 10 yrs. out of high school, I went back to visit some of my old teachers ( I sat through a class with their permission) and walked the halls of my old high school AND junior high (before it was rebuilt and they renamed it a "Middle School"). Talking about feeling weird...it brought back some good memories but I felt SO out of place. I felt like the kids grandmother! EEE GHAD!

I remember visiting the outdoor jungle gym at my grade school and musing at the changes in high school. When I went to school there it was concrete under the jungle gym until my sister broke her arm falling off of it and then they changed the surface underneath to wood chips. It was good that somebody finally got the idea that concrete isn't a great landing surface.

Yes I have, and it's like you say. Everything seemed bigger, there was a racing track and there was a slope next to it, we used to get chair seats and slide...we called that place "the mountain" when I visited recently the so called mountain looked quite small. My daighter attends that school now.

I'm not around there anymore but when I take my daughter to the park I am always reminded of all the fun times I had at the park. I can only hope my daughter makes the same memories.

yes, i have. that was about 5 years ago, but he school moved the old playground. they kept the old jungle gym and giant tractor tires everyone played on. lot's of duck, duck, goose was played on those tires. i also got my first bloody nose on that thing too.

LOL cute...not only that the school as a whole seems to be a lot smaller as an adult...I go to my old elementary every time I vote and it is always surreal when I go there.
