That does not sway my vote. It is about the candidate's goals, plans, and ideals.

A candidate's sexuality is not an issue as long as he shows integrity about his relationships. I have voted for some Republicans - it depends where they stand on specific issues. If Obama was gay, Republican, and still stood for the same issues I would vote for him without hesitation.

I wouldn't vote for him if he were a straight Republican. He has only been in the Senate for two years, and everyone says he should run in 08 because "he looks and talks Presidential" to quote Chris Matthews, and that is why this country is in the shape its in as far as I'm concerned.

He is also proposing that American negotiate with Iran and Syria to help Iraq; as if those two terrorist sponsoring dictatorships have any interest in the success of a democratic Iraq. James Baker, a complete foreign policy failure in the George H.W. Bush administration, who sacrificed the sovereignty of a Democratic Lebanon to Syria in exchange for them joining the coalition against Iraq in 1991, has suggested the same thing.

Well, I would vote for him anyway because gays are not the outsiders. And gays are part of this society.
