Area 51's UFOs have fizzled out and 9/11 conspiracies are getting old and worn - is this the new and improved replacement?

When a company develops a miracle potion that allegedly grows hair or improves your sex life - they earn hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars.
Imagine what they would make if they marketed a real cure for a real disease? Even the government couldn't get between Garfield and this plate of lasagna.

All the people in government and in research and in the drug company's also have family members that have died or are dieing right now from cancer or aids, I am sure they also want a cure to save their family member also. I don't think any one would find a cure and then stop it from helping millions of people. Besides their is always going to be another disease that will take over, we will never run out of problems like that.

I think with out technology and our knowledge to date, we are very close to finding a cure. And maybe we have found it, but usually any form of medicine takes few years, even decades to verify it's effectiveness, especially an issue like cancer and aids. Now there are some pretty good treatment, but it is not a given, for example, using of interferon increases life expectancy by 10 or so years. I'm really looking forward to the day that they find a cure to it.

Absurd.
1) There would be no reason for the govt to hide cures.
2) The govt can't seem to hide anything.

I don't think the Govt. would hide a cure but the drug Co's might because they make more money on treatment drugs. Anyway if there is a cure some other country could discover it and it would be announced and our Govt. could not hide it. The cure is early detection.

There is and also for diabetes. However, it's the rich drug companies that are the ones that don't want it known, because they make more money selling the drugs to treat them, than they would if these deceases were cured.

Of course not. Which ever drug company discovered a cure for any cancer or type of aids (not just one you know) would market it. They aren't researching for fun, they do it for profit.

no the person who discovers a cure will be a millionaire and it is in the governments interest to discover the cure and legalise it as it would save the nhs a lot of money in the long term.
