Try a silicone spray. I use it on the augers and wheels and it works great for me.

I would try something like Pam brand cooking spray. There are several brands, and some even come in a non-aerosol - that is better for the environment. The cooking sprays are edible, so you know you won't be poisoning anything. They come in easy to use spray bottles, so it would be a simple thing to reapply as necessary.

There is a silicon spray that you can get to spray on tv satellite dishes to keep snow from sticking. I bet that would work for your situation as well. Just go to any store that sells satellite dishes and they should be able to help you out. Good luck!

if you dont want stuff to stick to metal, spray with armor all, also good for keeping bugs and mud off vehicles.
