They'll pay for it as long as you need to be there. If you had complications, you could be in there for up to a week.

Medicaid is great, though. They'll take care of you, even if you have to stay for an extended period of time.

Depends on your medical need. If you have a normal uncomplicated vaginal delivery you'll be released within 24 hours, if you have issues then they have to pay as long as it is medically necessary for you to remain in the hospital. I lost a baby in Jan. and was very ill for the next week and in ICU, after that I remained in the hopsital for another 5 days, they paid for it all. I had a small copay because of my income (my job didn't offer insurance at the time) but it was minimal compared to a half million dollar hopsital bill.

If you had a boy, you have to pay for the circumcision up front, medicaid calls it an unnecessary surgery, so if you want him to have a normal looking little peter and less chance of an infection, you had better save $500 from your own pocket...good luck to you!

They pay as long as you need to be there. Most likely you will be there for about 2 days for a vaginal delivery with no complications. A C-section you will be there longer.
