I have Sims 2 and would like to add some new things that I am able to buy....I've seen sites where you can download different things for free....but I can't remember where those sites are now. Can anyone help?

Yes there are sites such as http://sims2.com/ and http://modthesims2.com/ which have free downloadable custom content made by other players and Maxis. You can download player-made pets, sims, objects, lots, and other such things from sites like these. Oh, and you need to join these sites if you want to download anything. Registration is free on each.

I think you can find it on the sims 2.com. But I wouldn't do it because when I had the sims 1 and downloaded stuff it messed up the game and it kept freezing.

http://www.thesimsresource.com is a good site with a lot of objects, skins, houses/lots, and so on. You have to register on the site but it's still free to join.
