I just wanted this question to be out there to see the absurdity of what the homophones and the misinformed are saying. Why do straight people think this is thier world and we are merely living in it? Why can't they live and let live? I am sick of this heteronormity and heterocentricity. Get and grip... homosexuals saved civilization and art while heteros killed, waged wars and divided and conquered.

Trust me--I think it's ridiculous how we preach about equality but cannot seem to grasp that homosexuality exists. Back in the 1950s seeing a black man and a white woman having sex would have offended many people. Today we're acting in the same way to homosexuals. History has a great way of repeating itself.
In the 1980s when my parents went to adopt, they told them that my dad was too old...at 36. They had to wait for years to adopt, and even then they had to go through a closed adoption. Now age is far from the issue, it's all about your sexual preferences.
It's sad that we've come as far to mettle in a person's personal life. Does it really make someone less of a person if s/he is homosexual?
I'm straight.
I'm married.
I'm Christian.
I believe in rights for everyone.
Unlike other Christians, I don't use the Bible as protection from everything I don't understand.

OK folks, first off, he was trying to get you (and I quote) "to see the absurdity of what the [homophobes] and misinformed are saying." You might want to read a question through before you start reciting from the New Bible of Political Correctness.
Also, people who disparage homosexuality based on the science of Natural Selection are just ridiculous. Sorry, but humans are social animals. If you help your sister or brother pass along genes, then you have succeeded in reproducing, irregardless of whether or not you personally have had children. (I just detest Christians who try to use science to support their views. They almost always just come across as ignorant.)
The point is, we should all have equal rights under the law. Who gives a sh*t what the Bible says. This is AMERICA, not Jesus-land.

Well, you can't have life or existence without a man and a woman. If we never evolved past being cavemen then homosexuals wouldn't have gotten to reproduce but still they would be able to live until they died I guess. The whole animal kingdom revolves around reproducing and making sure your gene's go another generation. Homosexuality would be considered an infected mutated gene in animals because it makes it so that your genetics will not move on and fulfil why they are there. Maybe homosexuality is natures way of saying "You are over populating, half of you will not reproduce..."
Edited: Might I add... Remember you can not be alive if it wasn't for a man and a woman. If there were no such thing as adoption (or premarital sex and divorce) how would homosexuals have children? They wouldn't.

The fact that they have a differednt perspective on how they run their own life should make no difference
I'm ok with them or anyone else living their own life one the asumption that they let me live mine

Please do not commit the same grevious error so many people make by painting all people in a particular group with one broad brush stroke. SOME straight people are homophobes. SOME straight people seem to think they own the world. These SOME are full of hatred, fear, prejudice and are too blinded by their faith to see anything objectively.
