I thought I was answering questions on religion and spirituality. I saw a show just last night about the Polar express. What a great way to build belief in all the wrong things. A powerful work with the wrong message. Saint Claus, the real St. Nick was a man of love with a great faith in God. Rudolph is just a story book character in a work funded by business to increase sales and turn the attention of Christmas from Faith in Jesus and God to increased spending and capital gains. Remember Jesus id the reason for the season. Rudolph's punishment for his red nose was a felony DWI.

How is that as an attempt at being an extremist.

Rudolph the red nose raindeer
had a very shiny nose
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows
*~*all of the other raindeers
used to laugh and call him names
they never let poor rudolph
join in any raindeer games*~*
then one foggy christmas eve
santa came to say
rudolph with your nose so bright
wont you guide my sleigh tonite
then how the raindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee
rudolph the red nosed raindeer
you'll go down in history!!

Read the lines from *~* to *~*

He got mocked by the other reindeer, and made fun of. Not because of his nose. Because of the other Reindeer's attitude toward his nose, cause' it was different, and they were acting mean and ignorant.

But Rudolf was rewarded by Santa!

He said, "Rudolf with you're nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then the other reindeers loved him, and he went down in history.

The moral, Don't let dumb stuff get to ya, things will work out, pay off, what ever, in the end if ya keep a good attitude.

Sometimes the one that is different ends up loved the best in the end.

AFTER HE DIDN'T GET TO PLAN IN ANY OF THE REINDEER GAMES, RUDOLPH GOT THE ULTIMATE REWARD FOR HIS RED NOSE. HE GOT TO LEAD THE OTHER REINDEER ON CHRISTMAS EVE. IT WAS FOGGY AND SANTA COULDN'T SEE WHERE HE WAS GOING SO HE USED THE LIGHT OF RUDOLPH'S NOSE TO LIGHT THE WAY.

His father was an alcoholic and Rudolph was born drunk, hence the red nose. It served as a reminder to his father for his faltering. So as it seems they were both being punished. LOL

It wasn't a punishment as much as just being treated badly. He was different and no one would play with him. Not exactly a hate crime but that's how that stuff starts.
