Hi - I'm not even pregnant yet but my husband and I are trying later this month. I was wondering what the average time frame would be until you create a baby registry? Thanks!

Hello,
I created my baby registry when I was 10 weeks pregnant with my twins. I was that much excited.
Although, people say to wait until you reach the half mark of your pregnancy.

From a retail standpoint you should expect to keep your registry open for about 2 months. If you are planning a shower at 8 months, make your registry at 6 months. If you are going to wait until after the baby is born, create it at 7 months. Otherwise people are going to be shopping with a list full of things that the store doesn't carry any longer.

I would wait till at least half-way through your fifth month. There are some things you don't really need, or may never use. Things like the little rocking chair, is a life saver. Try out the bottles, i tell you, it make a huge difference. Some people like the ones with the bags, other like the regular plastic tilted ones. Something to think about, what kind of formula you plan to use, if you're going to breast feed, are you going to use a pump? which kind? all that. good luck. PS. don't go crazy eating fish, it contains Mercury which has been linked to autism in children, and smoking for ADHD in children.

Usually around 4-5 months where you are out of the "danger zone" of miscarriage and also at a point where everything seems well in the pregnancy

I created mine when I found out I was having a girl. So around 5 months. Find out when someone will be throwing you a shower and register a month or two before that.

Around 4-5 months in. This is when the chances for a miscarriage is slimmer and you know or will know soon the sex of the baby.

Usually you put one together when you're pregnant and someone has said theyre planning a shower for you...
or after the first 12 weeks when the chance of miscarriage is almost nil.

I created one when i was seven months pregnant. You cant be positive that your going to get pregnant so soon. Its not that easy sometimes. Have sex when your ovulating. Good luck!

In the 6th or 7th month. But you shouldn't even announce the pregnancy until after the 3rd month.
