I have a small pond with a pump that pumps the water to a small waterfall. The pump electrical cord is hidden in the water until it comes out to be plugged into the house for about 5'. Rabbits chew through this. Is it tasty for them. What can I put on the cord to keep them from eating it?

Oh, my guinea pigs like to chew on electrical cords too! To get them to stop, I had to wrap the wire in a towel and secure it with rubber bands. This way they would chew on the towel only. You could also try securing the cords to a wall or some place higher than your rabbits can reach/jump. Good luck, and you could also ask a local pet store/veterinarian for other suggestions!

keep a cloth soaked in vinegard rolled around the cord. The rabbits will hate the vinegar and wil leave it alone.

See if you can find something containg Bitrex at a garden center. It will usually be in a rabbit and deer repellant.

get some plastic plumbing pipe and run your cords through that
they won't be able to get at the cords

Make a wooden box or you might be able to just wrap aluminum foil around it. Make it thick. They will bite once but not twice and learn not to do it anymore. It will hurt there teeth. It is probably just one certain rabbit.
