I see this often... It's a vicious cycle to get caught up in. It's meaningless.

Yes my own neighbors are like that.
Whenever someone in the street buys a new car:they get one.
But they can't keep up with me:I buy art at secondhand markets and those things can't be duplicated, but they will always come ask about the artists who made the pieces.
They buy art at high priced places:it makes me laugh.
Guess :other people are redoing their house:they will have a nicer design kitchen or...............
It is sad that these people don't notice that we all laugh when they pull their next stunt
Well enough said, don't you think so???
Have a good day:Rob.xxxx

I do, actually, but the guy's got a lot of luck. Graduated from Harvard, decided to pass the bar, then decided to be a cop, then decided to join the Army, now he's a lawyer again. Just because there's a guy in his family always doing good, you know? Weird dude...

Yes i do, but unfortunately I'm always there to bail them out so they have never been officially in the poor house. So i guess in a round about way, I'm going to go to the poor house trying to keep "the Jones" out of the poor house Hows that for Irony?

Yeah, well sorta. See i go to this really rich, preppy private school, & a lotta the girls there are super rich, & always showing off their abercrombie & hollister clothes, ipods, razr phones, ect. I do NOT have money like that, & neither does one of my friends, but still, shes always wasting her money on uneccasary stuff like that. Its kinda pathetic & im pretty sick of it.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I feel that our neighbor does that with us. Every time we get something new, all of a sudden, they do. I think it's crazy, that you would go in debt, to keep up with somebody else.

I used to, but I don't have the energy to be friends w/ people like that. It's exhausting, because not only are they living beyond their means, they've become very shallow by judging other people & themselves by what they own, drive, wear, etc. It's so vain & stupid. (U can't take it with u, people!!)

They buy the Escalades and the flat screens knowing they can't afford it. Ridiculous.
