i think the poor thing is gone so i have buried him in a t bag under my wheelie bin hopefully he is dead or the wheelie bin was a BIG mistake

If it is actually dead, there is nothing you can do. Sometimes an insect may appear dead because it is really cold. You can gently take it into your hands and breathe warm air onto it for a minute. If this does nothing, it is probably dead. Most moths die after they mate or lay eggs, so don't feel bad. It's just the way things are, and he/she probably lived a full life.

Well if he's in a bag in the bin, you're hardly likely to be able to resuscitate it now are you? And let's face it, would you want to. Have you touched a moth lately? They leave you covered in black dusty stuff! You want that all over your mouth? Hmmmm?
