Ok, my really good friend and her boyfriend asked my fiance to borrow $165.00 a couple of months ago, still hasn't paid it they promised to pay it a week after he lent it to them, all their numbers are disconnected and have no way of calling them, I moved 60miles away but my fiance still lives there, he's kind hearted and says don't worry about it...I say HELL NO we need that money and have no problem knocking on the door and ask for the money, since she's my friend.....should I get involved or should I let him handle it on his own.....which I don't think he'll do

One of the hardest things in life to deal with is money between friends or family. It doesn't matter if it's $10 or $10,000. I would try and go to your friends house and talk to her out right. I know you live far away but maybe the next time you go visit your fiance you could see if she's home. Tell her she's your friend and you care about her but you could really use the money you lent them back. Try and be calm about it even though this is upsetting you. See what she has to say and maybe you could work out a payment plan with her, like $30 a week until it's payed off. If you don't think your fiance will handle it and it's upsetting you then you should confront her. Good luck.

It's very sad when someone you believe is a "friend" turns out to be so thoughtless. It doesn't sound to me like they have any intention of "paying" back the money they borrowed. I don't think I'd consider them "friends" at this point.

Since your fiance was the one who loaned them the money in the first place, I'd let him handle it. I can understand your anger at them taking advantage of him but if he chooses to "not worry about it", don't!

He's obviously a nice guy, maybe this will be a wake up call for the next time someone asks him to "loan them money". Best of luck.

If your are really good friends just ask for the money, turn up at thier place on payday and ask for instalments starting right there and then.
