Ok, remember the question you asked. Who will get more POINTS by the end of the season. And with that question, the answer would be Nylander. Here's why.
He plays with Jaromir Jagr, who was second in the league in goals last year, so he'll be getting tons of assists. He's on the 1st PP unit with Jagr as wel as the first line with Jagr. Also, Brindamour, since he is such a great defensive forward, spends a lot of time in his defensive end helping out, rather than in the offensive end. Look at each in their last six games- Brindamour has 4 pts, Nylader has 9. Nylander will be steady all year playing with Jagr. (Look at Cheechoo last year playing with Thornton)
Also, i'd like to refute the claims of the person above me. He said that the Hurricanes don't have as much depth as the Rangers so they have to lean on Brindamour more. However, the Rangers's only threats are Jagr, Shanahan, Nylander, and Straka (Prucha is doing bad offensively this year). However, the Hurricanes have Brindamour, Whitney, Walker, Staal, Stillman, and Cole. So his reasoning was false. Also, he said Nylander doesn't get as much minutes because the NYR look more to Jagr and Shanny for points. However, Nylander averages more Time on Ice than Shanny both per game and on the powerplay. He also has 5 more points than Shanny. Once again, that person's reason was false.

I say Brind'Amour. He's leading the 'Canes in scoring right now and gets plenty of ice time (23:40 TOI, 5:42 PP, 4:07 PK) Also the Hurricanes don't have as much depth as the Rangers and need to lean on Brind'Amour. Nylander, on the other hand, doesn't get as much minutes because the Rangers look to Shanahan and Jagr for points, not Nylander.

Stay with Nylander, he gets to play with the best player in the game, He's going to get points. But it all depends on injuries, you just don't know. Brindamour is playing a little bit over his head right now I think... Nylander doesn't play a physical game so less chance of getting hurt and the Rangers are a more offensive team. You just cant predict injuries, but Nylander is definitely a more offensive player. Playing with Jagr and Straka doesn't hurt.....

I'd agree with those above that if all you're looking for is points then stick with Nylander, he will probobly have more points if they both stay healthy. If you are in a league that considers multiple stats I'd get Rod, he spends more time on the kill (SHP) and absolutely murders people in faceoffs won(473 to Ny's 186), and for this he only gives up a few PPP and holds his own in +/-

i would say stay with Nylander cause he has Jagr on his side and Jagr can get really really hot and Nylander can get allot more help from Jagr the Brind"Amour can from players on the Canes.

I'd go with Brind'Amour. He's got proven durability and gets a lot of ice time.
