Refurbed cell phone means they have "repaired" someone else's headache and are trying to pass it on to you. Chances are it will break down again and you will end up turning it in to get a new cell phone. My experience is that they are a real pain in the butt!

A refurbished phone is a defective item that is sent back to the factory and repaired. Often times the refurbished items are more scrutinized than usual because they are "re" made so to speak.
Make sure you check out warranty period on refurbished versus new. Sometimes they are much shorter than a brand new item.

It means that for whatever reason it was stripped down to parts and rebuilt. In other words it is not 'new' but it is rebuilt. Many times these are items that came back defective that are fixed, or even normal returns that have a minor defect. They are usually tested to ensure quality. I have a refurbished laptop and cell phone.

it means it is a phone that is used. it may have only been activated and then the person decided they didn't want it. but it's not new anymore. BUT it could also mean that someone dropped it in the toilet and it broke, was sent back and fixed. basically it just means that it is not BRAND NEW.

just like with anything else.....rebuilt.
means the items has been gone over, tested and parts that are b broke are fixed to return the item to as close to new as possible.
does this mean its new? no. does this mean it will work as new for as long as new? no. does this mean its guaranteed? normally no.

if you are not happy with a phone and return it, un used this is classed a refub, if the phone was faulty and returned it is the reconditioned and sold on as refub
