Parents like to go out. If your parents like to go out to dinner or are always too busy or money is tight, than a dinner gift card to a nice restaraunt or the favorite place would be nice to do. Parents like to get out and relax on their own

It all depends on the type of person they are. For example, last Christmas i bought my dad 2 books. One was a war book and the other was about Abraham Lincoln. For my mom i bought some jewelry. She doesn't wear the expensive stuff. She just loves accessorizing. They both love their gifts. They dont care about how much it cost, they think that it's the thought that counts. Just keep in mind what they like and you'll do great.

Well when I was in college and really broke, I wrote my dad a list of things that he has done for me throughout my life. I listed the big things but also a lot of little things that I remembered but he had forgotten (like getting up early on Saturday mornings and fixing me cereal and watching cartoons with me). Then I framed it. He loved it and still has it sitting out. If you have the money, and they are into gardening (my folks are) you could do that monthly flower garden thing where each month LL Bean will send them a small indoor flower garden.

I've always liked the "big gesture," the thing that says "I love you," or "thank you," in a unique and personal way. But most people either don't get it or don't have the attention span at Christmas to ponder the meaning behind a gift.

So if you don't have the skill to make them something, get them a token that honors their favorite pastime. If Dad's a golfer, get him a book describing the best golf courses. If Mom's a quilter, get her a book she doesn't yet own, or a set of fat quarters. Notice what your parents do outside of raising you and working, or what they've always said they'd do if they weren't raising you and working, and get something that tells them you noticed.

How about a gift of yourself! Write up a couple of beautiful cards that say you will spend the day with each of them to do what ever "THEY" want to do. And that you will take pictures of the day with each of them also to remember!!

You should give your mom a nice braclette or a necklace or some great scented candles. Your dad a great watch or a tool set.

MERRY CHRISTMAS,
MISS MOLLY

Your time sweetie. Spend a day with them doing whatever they would like to do with you. Take a camera along and make them a scrapbook of your day together, they will cherish it forever.

Depends on what they like. With your mom you can get her something for memories, like a family tree thing they sell at Hallmark where you put little photos of your family on. For your dad, something for his favorite hobby (or a new tool).
