I have used those electronic devices, and they help. You might try using them with glue traps. But you have got to keep the glue traps where baby and pets won't get into the them. I you have noticed droppings in drawers or in cupboards, empty the drawer or clean a space out of the cupboard and place the glue traps there. As soon as you hear the mouse squeaking, be prepared to go collect it, put it in a plastic bag, take it outside and thump it hard with a shovel or the blunt end of an axe. That will put it out of its misery, and you can now deposit it in the trash.
Regular mouse traps are easier to use. Bait them and leave them places (like above) where you have noticed mice droppings but where baby and pets can't bother them. It is best to bait them a few times without out setting them so the mice get used to feeding from them. Then after you notice they are taking the bait you are ready to set the trigger, and then wham oh . . .
You can also purchase catch and release traps. Mice are said to abhor swimming. So release them across a creek or river from your place. Alternatively you may find someone with a carnivorous pet who will take your mice for pet food.
The best bet really is a cat. But not just any cat will do. You want a cat whose mom was a good mouser, and that stayed with mom long enough to learn the tools of the trade.
Best of luck to you, and I agree, stay away from poison.

Mouse in the House Remedy.
The Safest way to get rid of mice is with an old fashioned wooden mouse trap that costs about .50 cents. Put the trap along the very edge of the room in your kitchen when you go to bed a night, since that's when mice come out to play. Mice hang out in the kitchen since that's where it's warm and they can find plenty of scraps to munch on.
Mouse droppings are extremely toxic, so never ignore the signs of these unwelcome visitors.

You can choose one or more of these options. I live in the basement of my parents house & we back up to a wooded area so I get mice every single winter. The first two things I will list have worked EVERY time for me.
1. Get one of those round traps that just close shut when they go inside...bait it with plain sliced american cheese...the kind you'd put on a sandwich. I've tried all kinds & they seem to loooooove the american.
2. Get an old-school wooden snap trap, put it in a place that's a bit out of the way (since they don't go in the open too much unless it's late at night), take some american cheese (see first tip) & put some on the fake cheese piece on the trap.
3. Buy one of those ultrasonic things that you can plug in to an outlet. They drive a mouse or insect crazy causing them to leave your home....BUT they ONLY work in one room at a time (basically you'd need a device in every room they are in) & ONLY if the pest is out in the open. It does not work if they are in the walls because the sound waves cannot penetrate the wall. I've researched & asked numerous pros about this.
4. Call out an exterminator

Well, call an exterminator..they should have ways to do this for people who have small children and pets. If not, its really hard to say, you cant set up mouse traps and those are disgusting. There is also something I have heard about..its a device that emits soundwaves, you plug it in and it sends out sound waves to drive off certain insects and rodents. You can do a search on line for Ultrasonic or pest control device. Good luck!

Here's 2 ways. Go to your nearest hardware store and ask for a device that gives off high pitch sounds. I don't know the name but it can only be heard by rodents. A cheaper way is a mouse trap, put a little peanut butter on it problem will be solved

You should use decon it is a poison, so put it where the baby won't find it. Put some foil or steel wool around you pipes and drains in the bathroom and kitchen. Unless you know for a fact that it is coming in some other way. Pack it with one of these, a mouse won't chew through it to get in. But, you need to get rid of it before it finds the baby.

Victor's brand mouse traps. Quick non-painful death for the mouse. And use a mini marshmallow on the trap instead of peanut butter or something. I hear marshmallows work well.

Unfortunately and inhumanely, the very easiest way is just to use a regular cheap wooden mousetrap and bait it with peanut butter. Otherwise, you can buy a humane trap and release it outside.
