I want to get a games console but no nothing about them. I don't want to spend a lot so want to get either a Xbox or a Playstation 2. Which is better. Which has the best games. Thanks.

I being an owner of a PS2 would definatly say that you should buy one, now yes, XBOX has some impressive graphics that is all they do, they don't try to make good games, they just try making good looking ones. The PS2 pretty much has the same graphics, mabey a slightly smaller graphics chip but they also work on power for their games. They have good fun games that look great. Now also being a gaming obsessive if i was you I would wait till the PS3 prices go down because investing in a PS2 now would be senseless. Ultimatly it is your choice but i highly suggest you get a PS2 or wait until the PS3's go down a bit.

This sounds like a question I would ask, except that we have both consoles in our house already. I would go with a ps2. I believe you can get a lot more games at a great price for it. For example, if you like sports, you can drop into a used video game store & see lots of ps2 football/basketball etc games for around 5 bucks that are just a couple of years old!

the playstation 2 has 3 x the games and is 120 euros
xbox 360 is better visual and 399 euros but i think you end up subscribing to a service all the time too !
the ps3 totaly rocks but is expensive i have waited 3 years for it
i was thinking of buying an x360 but was hesitand now look at it 3 years just a nintendo game cube ...
Wii ? could be ... price ?

PS2, more games and for the most part better games. If you are into sports then hey you can get like Madden 07 and play it free online with the PS2 if you have broadband.

I have both, i prefer to play on the x box, if a game is avaliable on both formats, i get x box everytime. There are more games on ps2 but alot of crap ones. best games depends on your type of games that you like? There are some fantastic driving games on x box, good shoot em ups, but most of the classics belong to ps2 i guess. Go search the shops for your type of games and check out what formats there on. good luck.

PS2....XBox has more power but less games....( Did you know that a XBox has 2 times more computing power then the Space Shuttle..? )

imo i think the ps2. the xbox games graphics are better than the ps2 but i think the choice of games are far better on the ps2.

PLAYSTATION3! trust me get a playstation3 in march or if you cant aford it get playstation2, if you get a xbox you will regret it so much! its s**t! the playstation will take the world by storm......
Check ebay you can get one now......
Miles beter than the xbox 360, i know i test games and have played on both consoles.....
