yes they are....this is actually a good thing to eat if you get lost in the woods or something and have no food....they may taste gross but its ok to eat!

Yes the flowers, leaves, stems and roots are all edible. The fowers make great dandelion wine and the leaves a reat salad and the root can be roasted and ground up as a chicory like coffee substitute.

Dandelions are edible but you may not like the taste. There are recipes for them though that could make them taste a whole lot better!

Yes. I personally tried them one time and learned a lot. I tried to fry them one at a time which could take forever so I turned out making dandelion fritters. When you pick flower heads check for insects first. I also made sure they were clean. I just made a batter and stirred flower heads in and dropped spoonfuls in skillet like you would for any fritter. They tasted like fried green tomatos to me. They take time to gather and inspect but they are free and edible. Good luck.

Its rumoured that foundry workers used to make dandelion beer and drink it as a detoxifier as dandelions are a diuretic.

yes, edible, drinkable as wine, and the root makes a coffee substitute like chicory I believe? good in spring with a salad as the young leaves are good and the yellow flowers make some very good wine!
