Ok here you should do, people first learn acoustic guitar cuz for electrics there a lot of tehines like sliding, struming and many more so if you still want to play electrics you can choose to your skill if you are pro you can buy a Kansas Vintage or if you are into acoustic you can chose other (but sorry i can`t remember)

It all depends on the amount of money you are ready to spend and the "sound" you want to make. Be prepared to pay some money for an amplifier too. A good all around guitar would be a Fender Stratocaster (although it was never my first choice). I would advise you though to go for some Yamaha guitar-amp combo because they are really cheap and the quality is quite good given the small amount of money. Play for some time until you start forming your own ideas on guitars and amplifiers before you start spending larger amounts of money. Let me tell you this can be a pretty expensive hobby. Take care!

Start with a reputable brand in the mid-price range, like Epiphone, Ibanez, Washburn, or even Mexican made Fenders. For someone at your level, I wouldn't recommend spending any less than $300 or $400. I made that mistake when I bought my first electric guitar and regretted it later; I spent $200 on a crappy out of tune Cort guitar. That's all I thought I could afford. I felt that I limited my abilities and made me sound amateur. If you're going for twangy, treble sound of country or rock, go for a Fender stratocaster or telecaster (single coil pick ups). If you're going for silky, or full bodied sound, suitable for jazz, or punk, go for Epiphone Les Paul (double coil humbucker pick-ups).

That depends on the type of music you play and personal choice.
