I know most answers say they cant jump .. but ... have you tried, sneaking up behind it and igniting a very loud firework?

Adult elephants can't jump apparently though, baby elephants can when provoked

They can't jump because it would break their knees or their patella. They are the only mammal with knees just like our own.
