My laptop is connected to the network but still will not let me use the Internet. I have used ipconfig to make sure my IP is ok. I also got rid of my 'media disconnected' problem and my 'limited or no connectivity problem.' I don't know what to do now. Any help is appreciated.

First try this: go to Start -> Run and in the window type in "command"
When the new window pops up type "ping www.google.com" and see if you get a response. If it tells you how long it took you are good, if it times out four times you are still not connected to the internet properly.
If it works, open Internet Explorer and go to Tools a the top and go down to Internet Options.
There is a tab called Connections or Networks...go there.
At the bottom there is a Network button...click on that.
Make sure it is set to automatically detect internet settings.
Good Luck
If all else fails, unplug your modem and your router for about a minute and restart your computer.

Are you hooked up to a router or hub?
Are you at school?
Your IP settings should be set to automatic detect unless someone has manually set the IP, subnet, and gateway of your network.
--update--
With your new info, you have to make sure the router has wifi active. Usually to access your router(you can do this with the computer that has the network ability) type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
Your Linksys documentation should have this information. Go to the wifi menu and enabe the wifi. You must also choose a SSID and WEP or WAP is optional (recommended)

If you are using a router, try to reset it. To do that, press the little button in, with a pen, at the back of the router, and hold it in for at least 30 seconds. When you release it, reboot your computer..If you have an icon on your taskbar, for internet connections (will look like a tv) click that, and go to support, then repair, that will reset your internet connection..After you try all of that, and still not working, shut off all of your things you have plugged in, such as a router, modem, and your computer. If you are using a power strip, turn it off for one minute then turn your power back on. If you are not using a power strip, then unplug everything for one minute, then plug back in.. Then reboot your computer..I hope this helps...good luck..

Check the level of your connection, is it low? Check if the connection is clear and check to see if the Router got bumped on accident it happens to mine all the time with my two computers and Laptop, we also use the Linksys Router connection. Good luck!
