There are several ways that teens and tweens can make money based on their skills and interests. Whatever there is a market for that can be filled by either filling an existing need or creating a need are the answers. Some teens can make money by selling products while others can provide a service. In business your age is not a factor to your success ... it's all about passion and motivation. The library has many books on the subject and there are also various organizations that help young people. One agency is junior achievement (see link below). Any business that an adult can start is one that a minor can start with a few exceptions (alcohol, guns, drugs, etc excluded). You might come up with the world's greatest brownie recipe or you could design websites or you could... what are YOUR skills, hobbies, and passions??? Upon finding that ideal product or service, work on a business plan to show how that idea can translate into cash. If you are determined enough to make it work, you can be one of the richest young people in the world; however, if you choose not to act on your ideas nothing will happen. Might I suggest a trip to the library? Click the link below to Junior Achievement. Do something and you'll be on your way to earning far more than money.

Mow lawns and shovel snow for neighbors. Or offer to clean out neighbors garages, attics or basements. If you do a good job, people will pay quite a bit and recommend you to others.
For working papers you need to be 14. So if you've got some hustle, you should be able to make some money before then.
