I have two pairs of shoes near a window (one are leather, others are man-made polyester - type material). Both have become mouldy. I am able to remove the insoles from the polyester shoes and so I did for easy-cleaning. Upon doing this, I noticed lots of little bugs that are white-ish in colour and about a millimetre in size. There are around 2 per square centimetre.
What are they? They are crawling, not hopping, and have legs (although they're too small to count how many).
Does this fit in with the decription of flea larvae? Please help!
Thanks!

Just to give you more info:
They're not maggots or worms, but little ladybird - shaped things (but not ladybirds!).
And throwing them out is NOT AN OPTION! I'll clean them, but just wanted to know what the bugs were.
I think they are there as a result of the mould, and the mould is there as a result of dampness from being near the window / my smelly feet.
