Like they said: 1) get hitched to someone with permanent resident status, doesn't have to be a citizen 2) get sponsored by an employer 3) use the green card lottery.
There are other ways, you can serve in the US military, you can be a refugee, you can be imported as a sex worker and then turn them in and give evidence against them (hardly something anyone would set out to do).
By the way, the green card lottery is not open to some surprising groups, like our friends the English, apparently the Irish Americans thought we had enough English already and excluded them along with the Indians and Chinese. So the Russians can get in but the English can't, just plain strange.
