make up my hubby gets upset ?So upset he pitches a fit and cancels our outings?

I put on a little eye shadow and eye liner and lip gloss . That's it !!! No reason for him to pitch fits!

That is totally ignorant. He is a jealous man, who will end up losing you. He needs to learn to control his childish behavior. It all is about the control and if he doesn't have it, he'll make sure you will see it being preformed.

Your husband is trying to control you. Don't get mad, he doesn't have much self esteem. I would just sincerely ask him why he is getting upset about this. You will know if his answer is true. It's pretty deep, so give him some time to realize why. He might not even know! I think he thinks that you are very beautiful and wearing the makeup could attract another man. He sounds jealous. Just remember, if he does treat you good, other than this issue..... He is VERY insecure. Just try to understand it and help him if you really love him. Good Luck.

thats no reason to cancel dates - it is very imature for him to act like that - i reccomend you sit and have a talk with him about your feeling on this particular issue and if he doesnt understand then let him know either he accepts the fact you are a woman and you will wear makeup because it is a cultural expression in my opinion or he doesnt and if it gets so bad its all he talk about then maybe its time to reconsider a replacement ( maybe thats if you love him, if you two are married then you have to change but if you are not then whats the big deal) - the problem is that most men feel when a woman wears makeup, she thinks she is ugly or they think she's ugly - on the other hand, some men just like natural beauty and maybe what he sees you do not - but never allow anyone to change your outward appearance, be you and who doesnt understand your style is their problem - remember you are an individual, not a cloon!

Perhaps he lacks confidence and trust in himself and out of fear of loosing what he feels is his possession (you) he becomes very protective and jealous.
As ridiculous as it sounds perhaps his fear is also based on a primal instinct to protect you from other men so they don't come in and steal you away from him.
Hopefully he can learn to understand how inappropriate his actions are and find some comfort within himself.
So that one day he will realize that you are not his possession that needs that kind of protection and he can give you the freedom to wear whatever you wish.

Sounds like your husband is a control freak...my fiancee' wishes i would put makeup on...lol i hate wearing makeup but i do it for him when we go out sometimes...if your hubby loved u he would appreciate the fact that you want to make ur self presentable when u go out with him in public.

Oh you poor woman! You are married to an extremely possessive man. If you are feeling threatened or unsafe, it is a sign of abuse. Try marriage counseling; maybe he will calm down. Then again, maybe there will come a time when your life is in danger. Remain alert and make sure you are safe.

I don't know why, but i do know that some men really like the natural look. Personnaly, I look really scarry with no makeup on. :):)My husband thinks that I look fine either way. He needs to accept you for who you are, not what you wear or look like. Talk to him ask him why is upsets him so much.....

Because he is controlling. You have a right to wear make-up if you want to. My husband doesn't care for it either...but I still wear a little when we go places. He doesn't say a thing... he doesn't need to. I know he doesn't like it...but I do!

maybe u looks soo attractive when u put make-up and he doesnt want to have to worry about losin you. He loves u for who you are and what u look like without the makeup and doesnt realise the need for women to look glamorous every now and then.

I think it is because he thinks you are beautiful just the way you are and not to do anything to you because he thinks you are perfect just the way you are. Bring it up around him why and I am sure he would say the same thing as I told you
