Reward soon after achievement. That's why education is a fraud and doesn't work, except for the rich who get rewarded by their parents.

So, in your case, you should promise yourself a treat when you get finished.

What I do is I play music that I really enjoy while I'm working on my project/homework so I don't keep thinking to myself "I hate this. I hate this. I hate this." The second thing I do is I eat while I'm working. I know this is probably a bad habit for me, but eating while I'm working also takes my mind of the project I'm doing. Mostly, I just force myself to do it because I want a good grade and I want to show everyone the work I can do. So I just tell myself "No more computer, games, calling friends, or anything until I'm done with the project." That way I'll be motivated to do what I need to do and then get to spend more time with my friends.

I hope you will be able to find something to help you concentrate...

First of all - - procrastination is a PROJECT KILLER -- and it seems that since you are cramming in all the work into the weekend, you have procrastinated into not a good outcome.

The FIRST STEP is when you are assigned the project to GET a SCHEDULE -- and lay out the different steps that you need to do to form and polish the project for presentation.

AFTER you have the Schedule, then START WORKING -- and do things one by one -- check off on the schedule (your organizational pattern and steps to the final product) what you have just finished, and go on to the next step -- and so forth ... until you get to final assembly.

You will need at least a day for editing (which I am sure is already passed) -- so allow enough time to review your presentation too.

This is the ONLY way you are going to make it through to the final project at this late of a date.

well first devide the work into 1 hour periods. say "im going to work for an hour and then take a break" for each break reward yourself so you can have something to look forward to while you're doing your work. like a slice of cake or 30 min of tv or 30 min on the computer. that sort of thing. then go back to working on your project. make sure you're in a room without a tv or computer or anything distracting so basically your most boring room in the house. this way you keep your mind on the project.

and do a little bit today and little bit tomorrow and you should be fine without much effort

=)
