Lord of the rings. I could never bring myself to finish it so when they made into a movie I didn't have to berate myself anymore.
Other than that NO. I always see a book like a movie in my own mind whilst reading it and when the movie comes out it looks different to what I imagined which is a bit dissapointing.
Maybe my imagination is a bit too strong, who knows.

No. I realize, though, that it's very hard to fit a book into a 2 - 3 hour movie. And occasionally, somethings have to be changed because of logistics.

Life with Billy.It was a book based on the true tale of a Canadian women from the early 80's who killed her hubby.The term battered wives syndrome was originated from this case.The movie was alot more interesting than the book.

I know I have, but to be honest I can't think of an example. But on rare occasion, it does happen. I do prefer the book most of the time though :)
