im currently a student who wanted to own a laptop someday and I want to know what months or seasons are the best time to purchase a new latop. Also, what brand can you suggest and where to buy it? I hope you can help me! Thank you.

check the ads in the sunday paper until you are confident you know the regular retail cost. then wait for a holiday, like xmas, and check the papers 1st thing every morning till you find a store selling what you want at a great price and get there early to get in line.
i got an hp laptop, 15" screen, from best buy for $299. i found out it was less than cost--it was probably a "loss leader" to get me in the store to buy more things. and i did. by the time i got all my software, insurance, and whatever i needed to run the machine, i was in for a total of $750.
but i still feel like i got a great bargain.

Simply the best laptops/computers are from dell. The best time to buy a new latop would be the beginning of the year, the reason is all computer companies get rid of their old systems by the end of the year and start out fresh in the beginning. I would especially wait till end of January since Microsoft's new OS (Windows Vista) and all computers will come pre-loaded with them. If you buy now (even though some offer free upgrades) you will have to update your OS at a later time.

I would say on www.newegg.com is one of the best places to buy computers and laptops for a good price, but be prepared to spend a lot on a notebook to make sure it is actually good. Buying a $500 notebook would be a waste of money. I recommend HP or AlienWare notebooks

Usually between december and the new year. This is when shops have great offers for christmas. However if you wait till the new year, shops also get rid of old stock I.e the ones from the christmas offers but cheaper. In addition manufacturers know that they can sell alot at chritsmas. so they wait till people buy all the chritmas stock then realease new ones in the new year.

Everything goes on sale after Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am not really sure where to buy one though. you can always see if you can buy one for a good prices online.

Staples has great deals and a lot of things go on sale from time to time. There's also OfficeDepot and OfficeMax, but I would go to Staples.
