I know that the Uk industry is up in arms - on the music mp3.ru, you do pay money towards each track you buy.

Has anyone used this site? Is it any good?

The Russians say they're legal, everyone else says they're not and there are moves afoot to close them down. I have it on good authority (from a band whose albums are available to download on these sites) that they do NOT get royalties from the sales, despite what the Russians say.

If you want free music, the best thing to do for albums is download BitComet (www.bitcomet.com) and then go onto Pirate Bay. If you want single tracks, Limewire is the best and most popular. Even better, if you want Limewire PRO download Limewire BASIC, and then type in Limewire PRO into the search and download it. It is alot quicker. Mind, it sounds like you want to stick with the law by asking if musicmp3.ru is legal, so don't go on my suggestions if you don't want to go against the law.
