No matter what kind: self-winding, quartz, battery powered or solar powered, any watch I ever wore has stopped working within a week of the first wearing. Sometimes the hands will spin very fast before the watch quits, or, on a digital, the numbers or the entire screen, will flare then burn out. If I wear a watch on my belt it lasts only about a month before dying. Why is that?
(This does not happen to the clock in my cell phone...just watches.)
Thanks!

Oh...some of these watches were not too cheap, nor too expensive. But I had 3 that were Citizens worth over 100$.

You go swimming in salt water with your watch on.You keep the cell phone out of the water.

I have a better question. What does this have to do with physics. I would guess you can't keep a watch due to incompetence.

Because you probably never pay more than $5.99 for one.
