Depends, you want to deal with live bodies or dead ones? Dead ones are simpler, they don't talk and annoy you with their fluids.

Actually that totally depends on you. How much time do you want to invest in education, and are you ready to put everything else on hold. My daughter is a student of forensics and she has been working with it for 3 years now. First, the book work, then the lab, now the police force, then the investigation process. Not to mention many hours of study and training. And if that isn't enough, you must be in outstanding moral and ethical standings. All is investigated..

First picture 40 years of dealing with individuals who have emotions and in which you can interact with. These are those who depend on you as a nurse to care for them with compassion. These are people that as a nurse you may have to do CPR on and life saving measures and sometimes you might lose one.

Nursing is very people oriented and can demand a lot out of you on an emotional level. It will also require good people skills. Now can you picture yourself making the sacrifice to be a nurse?

Or would you perfer something more diagnostic in which you will have to deal with just bodies. Though the flip side is those bodies belong to some family out there.

Nursing. More meaningful. You are helping people who need help. Forensic may look cool on screen, but I don't know how many dead bodies I could take.
