You should really learn how to experiment in Word because there are a lot of things you can do with it. I have MS 2003 on this laptop.
First, anytime you need help in Word just click on help and ask a question.
As for the brochure, there are several ways to go:
1. Do it manually by setting up columns and pasting or inserting pictures and text boxes.
2. Use a template as follows: open Word, from the menu (at the top), select NEW. Look to the right of your screen in the blue area. There are 3 sections - new, templates, recently used. Under the word template, select on my computer. A dialog box called templates opens. It has 7 tabs. Select the one called publications. Select the icon that says brocure.
A sample brochure opens up. It contains complete instructions.
3. Go to the link below. You could also have accessed this through word by opening a new document and selecting Templates from Office online from the right or by selecting Templates on your computer and then clicking the little button on the bottom that says Templates on Office online. You could also go directly to the Microsoft website and browse through the templates.
4. Open a new file (using the menu) and select search from the blue area on the right. You can check out templates on the web this way.
By the way, a brochure can also be done in MS Publisher or Powerpoint as well.
The link below is for a travel brochure.
Have fun.

Here is an easy way... Open a new document and go to FILE >PAGE STEUP>Change it to landscape to the paper is horizontal.
Then go to INSERT>TEXT BOX>
Click on the top left corner, drag, and make a box that takes up 1/3 of the page, like 1 column. Do this again until you have 3 even boxes on your page...for the three folds of the brochure....open ANOTHER new document and do the same thing since your brochure has to be 2 sided.
If you would like, "right click" on the box you made, click FORMAT TEXT BOX and you can add or remove a cool border.
Now take a sheet of paper and fold it like you want your brochure to look like and write on the paper what you want on each "panel" and then type it on the corresponding panel in your 2 documents you made.
Does this make sense? When you are done, print one out. Remove the paper and put it back into the printer backwards and print out the otherside and you have a 2 sided trifold brochure that you can fold.
that made total sense to me, how about you?

Open Microsoft Word.
In the help box type/enter "Tri-Fold Brochure".
The possible choices will show up on the right hand side of your screen.
You can click to preview them, or double click to download one.
After you have downloaded the template, read the text already entered into the template, it usually tells you what sort of information to fill in that particular spot with.
If you want to insert pictures, usually there are picture boxes in the template, click the picture box, then go to the top of the screen, find the toolbar that says Insert, then select Picture, then either insert a picture from ClipArt or your own files.
Hope that helps!

Try getting the Word help screen up (your F1 button should bring it up) & type in "brochure." I just tried that & it brought up some links to templates that might be of use. If you have Publisher on your computer, that works really well for brochures, as well.

First, you should go to the column maker and make 3 columns. You put all the information in each of them and print it out. Then you put the printed paper, where the text is and you make another document for the back of the brochure and then print it out and now you have a brochure!
