nothing has been going right since the start! My last period was august 27 . In september I missed a period and went to get the blood test, the blood test showed I was not pregnant. Then 2 and a half weeks later it showed I was 4-5 weeks pregnant which means it should have showed on the last blood test but it didn't. Anyways they said I was due june 1 since I did not have a period in septmber and I have never missed one. Then I went for a ultrasound yesterday and it said 11 weeks pregnant and that I was due June25. Which is just 25 more days then I tought.

So I guess my question is, is it possible I am more pregnant and that the measurments of the baby are wrong because mayby am having a smaller baby? or are they mostly right.
But if there right it just doesn't seem to make sense mayby someone can help me please.
I know it's not a big deal because am going to have a baby anyways but it still bothers me!

it's possible it could be a little off! Your 20 week ultrasound will tell you better when you are "actually" due! But either way they give you 2 weeks either way..early or later so it's still normal that you may actually have a due date the first week of june and not actually go into labor until the 3rd week of june..they won't induce you until you are 2 weeks late anyways! Well with that said..good luck relax and pray for a healthy baby..weather it comes on the 1st or the 31st ..it's still coming :) CONGRATS

The ultrasound usually knows best when it comes to the due date but a little iffy on the sex of the child all 3 of mine were correct but up untill 30 minutes before my cousin had her first child the ultrasound said girl the entire time ad wow was she pissed when the doctor said it's a boy.
But when youer asking about the due date go with what the ultrasound says not byyour period beings that a women can have her period the entire 9 months she is pregnant.

Well since you don't know when was the exact day you got pregnant you wouldn't know how far along you are. My experience was, my blood test showed I was 12 weeks pregnant and when i went for an ultrasound it showed i was 10 weeks so I would go with the ultrasound because Dr know about fetus measurements and how far along you should be.
congratulations.

even though they have been around for a while they still are not the most acuirit. it could be off a little when you get farther along they will tell you two things. the size of the baby in weeks by your period and due date and then they will tell you the measurment of the baby and how many weeks it seems to be along. It is hard to deal with i know been there twice.

Ultrasounds can be off sometimes. It was for my friend like everytime. She had around 10 ultrasounds(she works in a hospital so she got this privilege) and everytime the dates were way way off. She ended up delivering her baby a month earlier than the ultrasounds said. And her baby was over 7 pounds .I would just go according to your last period.

I kinda had the same thing with my second pregnancy. I didn't show up positive on a test until I was 12 weeks, but they thought I was 8 weeks. Then at 25 weeks (by my calculations, not theirs) I went into labor and had to be put on meds and bed rest. Finally, at 39 weeks (again, my calculations) they did another US and said she was still too small. They had me at 35 weeks. Finally, at 44 weeks, they induced, and she was 11lb 15oz, and severely jaundiced because my amniotic fluid had stagnated because it was too old. Trust your instincts, and not your doctors. I'd find another doctor if I were you, or even a midwife.

It is possible. Due dates are only a guess really, doctors use due dates as a tool to determine when the pregnancy "should" become full term. If it is possible to get a second opinion it may be worth it.

My daughters initial due date was aug 23rd then weeks later they changed her due date to aug3rd. She was born full term July 28th. So as you can see due dates are only a guess.

Hope this helps
