The amount of tax we pay to keep the armed forces operating must be horrendous. The amount to keep just ONE aircraft carrier with soldiers, sailors,airmen, planes, machinery,food,fuel,clothing,amenities etc,etc beggars belief!
Lets make up more lies against other countries so we can get value for money on our taxes!
Whatever you do don't go and join the marching people against going to war and make your presence felt next time. Just keep paying more tax and send your sons and daughters to get killed.
Lets face it this government is FOR the people (is it?)

I spent 15 years with the Royal Engineers.
It's the politicians that sends us to our possible deaths!
All I am saying is it should be the people that should have the final say as we are fighting for ALL the people, not just a bunch of lieing politicians!!

It seems that you are upset because of the financial cost of maintaining the US army by the tax payer. What about the millions of people that their lives ruined by the invasion, destruction, death, arrest, rape,.....A whole country is destroyed forever and what the US busy with now is how to get out as soon as possible! US lost the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and lost the respect of most of the world.
To Sammie: why do you think others will invade you? countries like Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden...never send their troops to invade other countries and no one invaded them since WW2. You guys got a serious psychological problem. You thrive on war, killing, stealing others wealth and resources...life is too short to live that evil way!

I'm pretty sure that we WOULD invade more countries, but I suspect we have run out of armed personnel and equipment with the invasions and 'policing operations' we are currently engaged in.
If we ever pull out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Falklands, etc., my money's on Iran or Syria!

yeah man! well, but I don´t know which european government is more hipocritical, cause countries like Sweden and Switzerland make lots of money selling guns supporting wars all over the world. what is worst? I don´t know, at least if english army someday wants to invade my country, I gonna be ready to kick your piggy asses outtahere!!!

If all the money spent on wars of bullying 'my country's better than your country' etc...was spent on combatting world poverty imagine how many lives we would have saved rather than taken...

Without armed forces we would be invaded and no offence matey but my hubby pays more tax each monththan you prob earn in your monthly pay packet .Our soilders are doing a job and before he deployed he had to buy the majority of his own kit out of his own money.No one sends their loved ones off to be killed and i have to say it is opions likes yours that grate me as you couldnt last two mins in afgan or iraq all mouth no action squaddies wife
