Yes! I had a friend who had this same kind of thing and it ended up being a cyst in his back. He had to have surgery. You should definately have that checked out. At the least it could be a minor bruise, but at the worst it could be a very serious tumor of some sort.

Could just be a cyst...is it raised, red? Maybe even a plugged sweat gland. Usually a good rule of thumb is, if something doesn't go away within 2 weeks, see a doctor.

I don't know what it is (I'd guess it might be a bruise or a big pimple but I don't rightly know,) but if I were you, I'd go to the doctor.

sounds like a cyst/ boil you need to get it lanced but a dr sould do this because of the area its in Quite common in men.

if i were you id go to the doctor. it certainly doesnt hurt to make sure. and if there is something going on, its better get it checked out so you can get rid of it as fast as possible =)

I would say go to the docor, if it really hurts i know that my friend once had something like that and she ended up having a broken tailbone. Get it checked out.

It is a pilonydal cyst. Go to the doctor, let him tell you, and then come back and give me best answer.
They have to open them and drain it. Then they pack it with sterile gauze and let it heal from the inside out. I know I'm right on this one. My dad had one.
