It is more acceptable than it used to be. Some people however only tolerate Gay people just as Black people are tolerated by some or any foreign person.
It does however seem to be getting better for the Gay community.

Being Homosexual is not a curse nor sin against humanity or God, but it is a non-conforming to the values and expectations of (broadly speaking) society.
A gay individual can be as decadent as a straight individual, or as virtuous and honest.
Although a lot of people will disagree with me, I believe that a loyal love between two human beings, is not for society to judge good or bad by its own chequered standards.
There is far too much hate in the world and not enough love of any kind.
I may not know how it is to be gay, or even understand the attraction, but for some people it is just a matter of fact and I'm prepared to respect their freedom of choice.

do what you like in privacy, just don't bother us. Unfortunately many gays get a thrill from the "exhibitionist" side, i.e., parades etc.

Of course it's Ok to be gay in today's society. It's only the "dung" aspect- the thought of what male gays actually physically DO- that most people find repellent.

It depends on the country and culture. Sadly Islamic countries believe that being gay is a terrible crime and dire punishment or death may follow if you are caught.

In a decent caring society being gay is no different to being heterosexual. Many people would, if they had the chance, enjoy being bisexual.

It is okay to be gay. Time was, people who were gay were forced by society to hide the fact. We have become much more open, but, while it is ok to be gay, you may find that many will not accept you. Shun them.

Of course it is but whether you can be open about it depends on where you live. A friend of mine who is Iranian cannot go home to see his dad who is currently very ill because he is afraid that his family will be persecuted and even murdered if locals find out that their son is gay.

i think it has arlways been ok, only not so easy to be open as it is today in europe at any rate.

i suspect there will always be bigots who simply cant accept diversity, but av managed to educate about half my family by coming out, so there's one useful thing av done in my life, even though it took a couple of breakdowns to help them realise i was still human lol.

It is ok to be gay in todays society, yesterdays society and tomorrows society. "Society" does not give you permission on what your sexuality is. It's YOUR decision. It's what god made you as.

We have lawyers. etc.( you get the picture) More & more each day people are coming out making it okay for the people who haven't.
