It was the hardest time for me. Here's some advice: stick close to the good friends you make, and avoid people who are out to do you harm. And the nicer you are to people, the nicer they'll be to you.

There are bullies everywhere you go in life. Jr High is a hard time in life. THere is many new changes that a kid has to deal with. Peer pressure, adolescence, maturing into a young man or woman. Just be yourself and dont worry too much about what others think. And if you run in to that bully Stand up to him/her. Most of the time they are more afraid of you then you are of them that is why they try to bully you.

Well bullies vary from school to school but if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. My approach (just flat out telling them to go away or stop cutting in line or whatever) didn't work as well as i expected. It helps to stay with a group of your friends at all times until you become used to the school, the students, and the teachers. I'm sure an eighth grader or some other older student would love to teach you some tricks of your school i.e. teachers to avoid, students to avoid, and which classes that is just flat out stupid to be caught talking in!
good luck!

Before I went, I always heard that there is going to be a fight every other day and there wasn't. Don't get intimidated by the rumors, just stick close to your friends an and have fun!
