I have got to write a work experience and I don't know what to include in it. It is to work in a Cafe/Resturant if that helps.

In the first paragraph, put a bit about yourself: your age, school, what you hope to be (if it's related to your work experience!)

In the second paragraph, put why you want to work there on work experience: its reputation, they cook the style of food you like, its what you want to do when you leave school etc.

Finally, write a closing paragraph thanking them for their time, and hoping that they will give you the opportunity to work there.

Don't make it hugely long: it should fit easily onto one side of A4 paper, and without havingto use 6 point type to get it to fit!! They don't want a book to read, and the manager is likely to be busy anyway. Print it out, don't hand-write it. You need to keep it short and sweet, in good, clear English with correct grammar and punctuation - if you're not sure, get someone to check it! I can't emphasise this enough: the amount of job applications I get that are illiterate or illegible is amazing, and why would I hire someone who can't spell, and can't be bothered to check?
