Universities educate people. Education sets you free. Ignorance and fear will imprison you.
Why do you think people from all over the world compete to go to American universities?

I went to the University of Minnesota 30 years ago. It has a nice campus and I can vouch for the fact that I am not nor have I ever been a communist. So if you are concerned about sending a son or daughter to an institution where they will be brain washed consider the U of M as a safe facility. Of coarse they have a really lousy football program there..... :)

I would say this question includes an invalid assumption. It assumes that universities brainwash people into communism, yet communism is not at all popular in the United States, so there's no evidence to back your assumption. Some people may favor more social programs rather than less, but that's hardly the same thing as "communism."
If I asked "how did George Bush brainwash 70% of Americans into thinking Iraq was behind 9/11," I wonder what your response would be? Would my question be more or less fair than yours? :)

They don't! But in my own informal survey, I have found evidence that those who obviously haven't attended an institution of higher learning and/or possibly never finished high school, ask some of the most ridiculous, poorly thought out, and asinine questions I've ever read!
