First, get through high school Biology. Grey's Anatomy is not a light read. In my undergraduate anatomy class, we used a different text, but the professor would sometimes use pictures from Grey's Anatomy.
If you are interested in become a doctor, in high school, take all your sciences. If there is an elective medical type class, take it. Try and get through calculus or precalculus.
You're only in high school you have a long time to ponder and make your choice. If you are set, research guaranteed medical admissions programs, 7 or 8 year med programs.

It is absolutely a great idea to study Grey's Anatomy!! It is a VERY LONG textbook though. I would really recommend picking up some anatomy coloring books or others with good illustration. I know this sounds very elementary, but if you are anything like me, then it is much easier to learn and remember things if I can get a good mental picture. Anatomy is very tough since there is just SO MUCH material, but you are very smart for wanting to put the effort forth now to learn it. I commend you!!
As far as HS classes, I took as much science as I could, obviously -- bio, chem, physics. (Actually, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to take a look at some organic chemistry and biochemistry books, as well.) Good luck on your endeavor - it's going to be a tough one! (but very rewarding!)

I'm now a medic student, something I didn't think was possible back when I was in secondary school (that's my term for your high school). Your wishes and dreams are not confined to what books you read. More importantly is where is your heart at. Concerning Gray's Anatomy, it's a textbook we use here (in russia) as well as in my hometown (in malaysia). I suppose that just goes to show it really is quite a realiable book for basic anatomy.

I loved my Freshman year when I was in high school, new friends, fun life, minimal homework, the only thing that sucked was I got rejected by my high school crush isn't it ironic that he's now my fiance'? The rumors about getting thrown in the trashcan and getting beat up are false I was in high school for 4 years and nothing happened to me.

check with your guidance counselor, they will have the info that you are looking for, grays is a rather intimidating book for one not ready for it, go slowly, one step at atime, also check the college pre-requirements in the field that your desiring, good luck
