well a model would help, i would advise reading the manual, since normally u wold just connect the usb cable to the computer, and it would show as removalable storage in my comptuer. so u can copy and paste.

mp4??? if it is mp3 you have to find a site like mp3 rocket, i have a life time membership and it is really good. download songs and use the software that the player came with.

if you mean MP3 player try opeing windows media player and going into sync and add songs to the sync list, once added songs select start sync and they should go to your mp3 player as long it's not ipod, ipod wont play windos meadia files, ipods use i tunes and it changes windows media files
