What I mean is, can they cause a problem initially with the egg?

No. Most women have cysts at some point. In fact, the ovary produces a cyst that ruptures, releasing the egg. Most women never know they have cysts until they get large and painful, or a large one ruptures. Even then the pain is only fleeting. But cysts don't interfere with pregnancy.

nah, i had one in the VERY beginning and all it did was rupture and leak a lil, as far as it harming the egg-no. ovarian cysts are really common with early pregnancy, brought on by the surge of new hormones flowing from everywhere...i'd relax and enjoy my pregnancy!!!! congrats!!
