Okay, so I just moved from one apartment to another, in the old apartment while moving I came across some mold in a closet, of course it ruined a lot of clothing/shoes and other stuff. But while I was sorting some stuff out I had found a box of cd's that had been near the closet and the bottom of the box had mold all over it. Well, the bottom layer of the cd's have mold on them. I've read that bleach can get rid of the mold, but then I had a neighbor tell me that the plastic of the cd can absord the mold. Is this true?

Bleach is one way to get rid of mold. You can also find mold and mildew remover at Home Depot or some such hardware store.
Your first concern is to get rid of mold - any mold.
Mold spores can be very dangerous to your health.
After you wipe your CDs clean, just test them. If they don't play, you can try a CD cleaner/resurfacer (from Radio Shack) to try and repair them.
Good luck.

Remember that the bleach solution is only 5% bleach in water. So it should not ruin any CD's

give it a wipe with a bleach and water solution, if you see marks still, the cd is damaged...if not, you are fine...I would be careful with any solution of bleach around CDs, if it were me
