You should really learn how to do this yourself, but:
(4x+5) (4x+5)
If you aren't sure how to factor, ask your teacher. It's really quite simple once you get the hang of it.

Ignore the first person's post. Don't feel bad about asking a question. To factor this expression, begin by thinking about two numbers who when multiplied equal the coefficient of the x^2 term (in this case 16). Then think about two numbers who when multiplied equal the coefficient of the last term (in this case 25). In this case, it is probably easier to start with the first because other than 1 and 25, 5 is the only factor of 25. Thus we now have (____*5) (___*5) To get the first terms we know that they must multiply to 16. Let's call these terms a and b. Thus a*b=16. We also know that a*5 (the outside of the first times the outside of the second) + 5*b (the inside of the first times the inside of the second) must equal 40. Thus we have a system of two equations with two unknowns. Solving we get a=4, b=5. This system of equations is not usually necessary because once you get experience you can usually do it in your head by trial and error but it is a good way to think of it while you are learning it. Thus the answer is (4x+5)*(4x+5)=16^2+40x+25. (4x+5)*(4x+5) can also be expressed as (4x+5)^2. Hope that helps.

Kevin

two ways to do this
1.Use the quadratic formula:
x=(-b+or-sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a
2. or just figure it out
both will lead you to (4x+5)(4x+5)
