What accent would that be? I'm from Texas so I might have a bit of a Southern accent, but I am mostly thought of as being Caucasian when I talk with people I don't know over the phone....
What are the basis for your question? You sound like you have talked to every black person in the world? May be you should rephrase your question, "Why do the Black people that I know talk with funny accents?"

I YI YIII.....Just because you have met a group of black people that speak the same doesn't mean we all do...for heaven's sake use the brain that the Lord gave you! We are not all from the same place....some black people live in the south so they might have a heavy southern accent....some might live in the east...they might have a different accent. Some are from the Caribbean so depending what country there from they're gonna have a different accent. Now would it be wrong if I asked you why all white people act and look the same?

People have accents. People have accents based off of where they came from and what influences they have had. It is really not a big mystery.

funny accent to whom? there was no education for blacks back in the day therefore, they spoke broken up english and everything simply passes from generation to generation and if you don't break that cycle, it will never end. and another thing is that have you ever noticed that people who live in california whether they are black or not speak really good english as opposed to the southerners who mostly speak with their southern accent, where slavery was popular and knew no other way of speaking. the ones who spoke better english was the house n*gger. and the yard n*gger spoke what they heard daily. ( the broken up stuff)

it depends on where their from dumba**. the black here in illinois speak very proper. and im from atlanta. so i have a country accent.

I think that you are mistaken to say that "most blacks" speak like that. In truth, the majority of black people probably don't even speak English. True there is a dialect, spoken by many black people, but it's no different from the dialect spoken by any other racial or cultural group.
