There is also a healthy skin vitamin called Lysine, you can get it anywhere, I found mine at Walmart! I getcold sores occasionally. When you feel one coming on, take Lysine and as someone else said, stoke up on your Vitamin C, because it is a virus. (It' not recommended for people under 18--I read it on the bottle--I dont know why??) Cold sores are a bummer, good luck!

My wife swears by Abreva. It's the only thing that really works for her. Available in any grocery store, Target/Walmart, etc.
Cold sores are a bummer.

Try taking a vitamin C supplement. It worked when I used to get them.
