A second interview is a good sign. The first interview was probably with your future supervisor. The second interview is usually your future supervisor's supervisor. This gives the next person a good idea of who you are from what the first interviewe had told him/her. Second interview is as important, if not more, than the first one. So dress sharp, be early, firm hand shake, every expected in the first interview.

You might meet with a person (or persons) higher up than the one you first interviewed with. They might ask you a few more questions and go over your resume, but it usually means they are definitely interested in you. Good luck!
